Redline Announces 2025 Design Team
Detroit, MI – July 28, 2024 – Redline Percussion is thrilled to announce its design team for the 2025 season.. Tom Aungst – Artistic Director
Tom Aungst, renowned for his significant contributions to the percussion world, will lead the team as Artistic Director. Tom has previously led Dartmouth High School to five World Class Percussion Championships in WGI and consistently placed in the top three. With over 40 years of involvement in drum corps, including key roles with The Cadets and Carolina Crown, Tom's artistic vision and expertise will shape Redline's creative direction, ensuring engaging performances for audiences and judges alike.
Marc Whitlock – Program Coordinator
Marc Whitlock brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the marching arts. His experience as an educator, clinician, consultant, and designer will provide invaluable guidance to Redline's program.
Lee Beddis – Battery Arranger
Lee Beddis brings his extensive experience and dynamic arranging skills back to Redline as the Battery Arranger. A native of Toronto, Canada, Lee was a part of the legendary "perfect" percussion line of the Garfield Cadets in 1987. His career includes leading successful percussion programs at the Madison Scouts, Star of Indiana, Phantom Regiment, and Carolina Crown. Lee's reputation as a program builder and his ambitious arrangements will elevate the battery's performance to new levels of excellence.
Ian Flint – Visual Designer
Ian Flint, known for his visionary approach, will shape the visual elements of Redline's performances. Currently the Director of Music for Dartmouth Public Schools, Ian has over 25 years of experience in the marching activity, including roles with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Ian's creativity and attention to detail will ensure visually stunning and cohesive shows that complement the musical arrangements.
Jason Ihnat – Front Ensemble Arranger
Jason Ihnat, a seasoned arranger with a keen ear for musicality, joins the team as the Front Ensemble Arranger. His compositions and arrangements have been performed at universities and high schools across the country. Jason's ability to craft intricate and emotive front ensemble arrangements will enhance the overall musical experience and add depth to Redline's productions.
Brandon Carrita – Sound Design
Brandon Carrita, an expert in soundscapes and audio engineering, takes on the role of Sound Designer. Known for his expertise in sound design, Brandon's work will create an extra layer of sophistication to Redline's productions. His innovative approach to sound design will undoubtedly elevate the overall quality of the ensemble's performances.
