Who we’re looking for
We welcome performers of various backgrounds, including:
Students who play wind instruments during fall/summer and want a winter performance outlet.
Dancers, actors, or performers with a theater background.
Color guard students who aren’t marching in a competitive guard but want to perform at a world-class level.
Anyone eager to build visual and performance skills in a high-level, team-oriented environment.
Prior color guard or dance experience is not required, although some background in marching or movement is preferred. What matters most is confidence, body control, and the willingness to learn and perform with energy and commitment.
What to expect as a member
As part of the Visual Ensemble, you’ll:
Learn and perform athletic choreography that complements the drumline, front ensemble and overall visual package.
Incorporate props and set design elements to enhance storytelling.
Portray characters and narratives through expression and body language.
Work as a team to deliver high-impact visual moments on regional and national stages.
Audition day expectations
What to Wear: Form-fitting, athletic clothing and supportive footwear.
What We’ll Do: The day will include warm-ups, marching and dance movement across the floor, and learning choreography. Staff will evaluate your technique, performance quality, and ability to pick up material quickly.
What to Bring: Water bottle, and lunch or snacks if you want to avoid going out during the break.
