Alumni & Volunteer Coordinator

Redline is seeking an Alumni and Volunteer Coordinator to build stronger connections with alumni, parents, families, and volunteers. This role will help create organized systems for alumni engagement and volunteer support throughout the season.

The Alumni and Volunteer Coordinator works cross-functionally with the admin team, fundraising, media, member relations, equipment, set, and event leadership to identify volunteer needs and connect people to meaningful ways they can support the organization. This role helps Redline maintain long-term relationships with alumni while also building a reliable volunteer network for rehearsals, events, fundraising, meals, uniforms, props, equipment, banquet, and other organizational needs.

This role is ideally held by a Redline alum or someone with a strong understanding of the organization’s history, culture, and community. Strong virtual communication is important, as much of the role involves outreach, follow-up, coordination, and relationship-building outside of rehearsal time.

Summary of Tasks:

  • Build and maintain alumni engagement systems

  • Maintain alumni, parent, family, and volunteer contact lists

  • Recruit, organize, and communicate with volunteers

  • Work with admin and staff to identify volunteer needs throughout the season

  • Coordinate volunteer support for meals, uniforms, props, equipment, events, fundraising, and banquet

  • Help create alumni communication, recognition, and engagement opportunities

  • Work with media and marketing to share alumni stories, volunteer needs, and engagement opportunities

  • Represent Redline professionally in alumni, parent, family, and community communication

Qualifications/Desired Traits:

  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with alumni, parents, families, volunteers, staff, and community members

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through email, messages, forms, calls, and virtual platforms

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple admin and staff areas

  • Ability to maintain organized contact lists, sign-up forms, volunteer records, and communication tools

  • Ability to identify needs, follow up consistently, and help people feel valued for their support

  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, forms, shared documents, email, Discord, social media, and other communication platforms

  • Ability to attend rehearsals, meetings, events, or major Redline activities as needed

  • Availability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including evenings and weekends

  • Access to phone, email, computer, and reliable internet

  • Prior experience with Redline, WGI, DCI, marching band, performing arts, alumni relations, volunteer coordination, event support, fundraising, communications, or community engagement preferred

  • Redline alumni preferred, but not required
