We are pleased to announce the Battery and Front Ensemble managers for the 2017 season!
Section managers will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of weekends which includes creating rehearsal plans, collaborating with the design team to meet weekly objectives and working with our experienced tech staff to run focused, efficient rehearsals.
Coming into his third year as a member of the Redline staff, Timon Sherman will assume the role of Battery Manager. From battery tech to drill writer, Timon has a wide array of experience in the marching arts. He has instructed for programs at Plymouth-Canton, L'anse Creuse, Farmington Harrison, Lake Orion, Southgate Anderson, Walled Lake and Novi HS, as well as Motor City Percussion, Eastside Fury Percussion and Redline. Performance experience includes EMU Drumline as their section leader, Farmington United Percussion Ensemble, Eastside Fury and Redline Percussion, as well as Colts Drum and Bugle Corps and Carolina Crown. Timon holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Eastern Michigan University and currently manages the food and beverage operations at Eagle Crest Golf Resort in Ypsilanti, MI.
As another current Redline staff member, Ross Taylor will assume the role of Front Ensemble Manager. Ross comes to this role with a broad range of teaching experience at various high schools including Plymouth-Canton Educational Park, Novi, Jenison, Mount Pleasant, Norwell, and Lake Orion HS, and has held instructional positions with Redline Percussion and the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. He has performed with the MSU Drumline, North Coast Academy and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps as section leader and was drum sergeant his final year. Ross also holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Michigan State University and is currently an Assistant Band Director with Clarkston Community Schools.
