Hunter Desjarlais

Hunter Desjarlais is an active educator and performer in the Metro-Detroit area. Working with Novi High School as the battery coordinator and one of the directors/designers for the winter percussion program, he also has worked with Plymouth-Canton Educational Park HS, Huron Valley HS, Skyline HS and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps from 2021-2023.
As a performer Hunter started his marching experience at Farmington United Percussion Ensemble and Farmington High School. From there went to march at Legends Drum and Bugle Corps (2014/2015), Colts Drum and Bugle Corps (2016), Phantom Regiment (2018) and Carolina Crown (2019). Indoor percussion experience including Redline Percussion (2016-2019/2021), Rhythm X (2020), Matrix (2022). He also is a performer in the Detroit Lions Drumline and an independent entertainment drumline Great Lakes Groove.
Outside of drumline, Hunter holds a bachelors of music technology and recording from Wayne State University. He works doing live sound in the area and producing music independently.
