Denise Martaus

Front Ensemble

Denise Martaus graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 2011 with a degree in K-12 Music Education. She is currently a K-4 Elementary General Music teacher in Bloomfield Hills Schools and continues to be involved in the marching arts as an instructor for various groups across the state of Michigan.

Denise was a member of NorthCoast Academy from 2007-2011, where she aged out after two consecutive seasons as the front ensemble section leader. Since then she has served on the Board of Directors for MCGC for two seasons and has had a wide variety of teaching opportunities in MCGC, WGI, and DCI. She was a member of the front ensemble for the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2008 and 2009, aging out of DCI and receiving a Distinguished Service Award for the corps. From 2010-2012 and 2016-present, Denise has served on front ensemble staff for Legends Drum and Bugle Corps in addition to teaching a variety of groups in MCGC including Huron Valley Percussion, West Bloomfield High School, NorthCoast Academy, and Redline Percussion. Denise looks forward to another great season with Redline this year!
