Beth grew up in Canton, Michigan, and began her marching arts career with the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band. From 2005-09, she performed with the nationally-recognized marching band and indoor percussion ensemble. After high school, she continued her marching career and joined Redline Percussion in 2011 as a cymbal player. Her love for the instrument led to performing with Rhythm X in 2012, as well as three years with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps Cymbal Line (2011-13), acting as section leader in 2013.
Beth has been involved as an educator for several years at Plymouth-Canton as a cymbal tech (12’-14’) and visual tech (14’-15’). After aging out at the Colts, she had the pleasure of assisting the Colts Cymbal Line in 2014-15. Lastly, she enjoyed playing a part in re-building Redline’s Cymbal program in 2015-2016, and is looking forward to see further growth of the program.
Outside of the marching arts, Beth received her B.S. in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from Central Michigan University. Most recently receiving her M.S. in Geographic Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University, she has had the opportunity to gain administrative experience working as a Graduate Assistant at EMU for several campus organizations and grant projects. Currently, Beth works as an Application Specialist at LocusView Solutions located in Chicago, IL.
Beth is excited to continue working with such a talented staff and is looking forward to another great season!
