Austin Allaire
Front Ensemble

Austin is excited to join the Redline staff this year! His experience in marching percussion started at a young age, dating back to 2015 where he volunteered to help out Lake Orion Percussion at rehearsal, running the metronome for a season that culminated in a WGI Percussion Scholastic A World Championship. Since then, his love for the activity hasn’t diminished. As a performer, Austin attended Lake Orion HS and marched seven seasons in the front ensemble. After graduation, Austin moved to Florida for a season to march Infinity Percussion (2023) on the marimba line. As an instructor, Austin has taught at multiple schools in the Metro Detroit area including Lake Orion HS, Ferndale HS, and Dakota HS.

Austin holds a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Oakland University. This fall he will be continuing his education at OU, pursuing a Masters of Science in Biology while conducting research. His research is centered on the effects of inflammation in the gut-brain axis as a potential model of pathogenesis for neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Next year, he plans on applying for medical school to further his education, in hopes of becoming a physician-scientist in the near future.
